Regenia Willis Wells, the President of the Georgia Animal Control Association, brings 21 years of experience in Animal Control. Currently the sole Animal Control Officer at the City of Adel Police Department in Georgia, Regenia has dedicated 16 years to GACA, previously serving as President and Secretary / Treasurer. Her decorated career highlights her unwavering commitment and recent recognition as Animal Control Officer of the Year.
Cindy Wiemann, GACA's Secretary / Treasureand Director at Newton County Animal Control in Covington, GA, brings extensive experience to the board. With 4 years as President and 10 years as Secretary/Treasurer at GACA, Cindy's advocacy efforts at the Georgia Capital have strengthened laws protecting companion animals. She also served 9 years on the National Animal Care and Control Association Board, including 6 years as Treasurer and currently holds the position of Vice-President at SENC Rescue.
Meet Patrick Quinn, GACA's newly elected Vice President and Animal Control Officer at the City of Doraville Police Department in Georgia. He brings expertise as a Nationally Certified Animal Control Officer and has served on both GACA and Southeastern Animal Control Association boards. Patrick's impressive 14-year military service adds to his dedication, and GACA eagerly anticipates his invaluable contribution as Vice President.
Clyde Burchett, a native of Northwest Georgia's Ranger, brings two decades of service to the City of Calhoun, where he serves as Animal Control Director and a mandated police officer. His unwavering commitment to both animal control services and law enforcement reflects his passion for helping people and love for animals. Clyde looks forward to many more years of dedicated service in these roles.
Haley Brown, leading Forsyth County's Animal Services, pioneered the first civilian program. Over five years, she expanded the department, handling 21,117 interactions in 2022, and launched field safety net and community resource programs. With a decade in Animal Welfare, Haley specializes in Equine and Livestock investigations, contributing to local, state, and federal government roles. Nationally certified as a Cruelty Investigator and Animal Control Officer.
Daniel Mayne boasts 20 years of dedicated involvement in animal welfare, progressing from a vet tech to his current role as the Animal Control Supervisor at Columbia County Animal Services. A two-term past president and former Board Member at GACA, Daniel's advocacy led to amendments in the state's responsible dog ownership law. Returning to the GACA board, he now serves as a member and technical advisor, offering invaluable expertise and dedication to the cause.
